A

Inspiration is a
wondrous presence that shows itself in infinite forms. For
the Icicle Hands and
Icicle Knees book, inspiration arrived in the guise of
Rheumatoid Arthritis.
When
my illness was at its worst I was constantly freezing. Despite the
layers of fleece that became my second skin, my body could not
stabilize itself and intense chills gripped me incessantly.
One
night I was in bed huddled in a tight ball trying to stop the shivers.
I said to myself "I have icicle hands", and moved to place them between
my knees for warmth. Jolted by the temperature of my own skin I
exclaimed, "Oh I have icicle knees too". Unconsciously I chuckled
"Icicle hands and Icicle knees, won't you help me warm them up please"?
Poof, the rest of the story flashed before my eyes.
I
thank the universe for the opportunity to share this book with big and
little souls alike and dedicate this book to anyone who has experienced
Rheumatoid Arthritis.
