On Nov 29th Cindy received an Ontario Impact Award during the Commitment to a Cure fundraiser in Sudbury. The award was given for her volunteer work with The Arthritis Society as well as for the awareness of arthritis and funds that have been created by her Icicle Hands story book.

We had over 140 entries in our first annual Icicle Hands National Poster Colouring Contest. Entries came in from kids in 4 provinces and 1 territory. Here are our winners:

Sudbury Manitoulin Children’s Foundation Annual Charity Chair Auction. Relax in a beautiful Muskoka Chair and help the “Send-A-Kid-To- Camp” program. The program provides opportunities for disadvantaged children to enjoy pleasurable camping experiences. Beautifully and uniquely decorated muskoka chairs sponsored by local businesses, community leaders and designed by local artists are up for auction. There were 21 unique Muskoka chairs up for auction. Ours, picured here is titled "The Family Chair". Check out the SMCF page to be ready for the 2011 online auction.

Excellent Effort
There were 21 of us braving the wind for the May 2011 Walk to Fight Arthritis. Thank goodness for the sunshine. Big hugs to every Team Icicle Hands member; Christine S, Rachel B, Debbie N, Sherry L, Angela W, Barb Y, Anna R, Rose M, Diane M, Bill V, Steve B, Tina R, Carole Z, Christine G, Cassandra G, Julia P, Ken R, Kaylee R, Alyssa R, Jackie M and Val K. As a team we raised over $2300 dollars.

Upcoming Changes:

The Icicle Hands site will be getting a new look for the new year. Plans are in the works. Watch for our new site coming in February.
