A special note to check out a project that Laura from                    Newmarket is involved with through CrossTrainers. She will be   part of an Extreme Makeover for the Bradford Manor in Simcoe County Ontario. Bradford Manor is a community home for people with mental and or physical disabilities.


The Jingle Bell Run for Arthritis is an annual family event hosted by the  Alberta/N.W.T division of The Arthritis Society. In 2009 a copy of Icicle Hands and Icicle Knees was given to the winner in the child (0-7) category for the events held in Camrose, Lethbridge, Red Deer and Calgary.

On May 30th my family and I walked the 5km route of the 2010 Arthritis Walk.  Thank you very much to everyone who sponsored us for this years' walk. Right on Jackie and your team from the Sudbury Please Mum store. It was awesome to see you at the Arthritis Walk!

The Icicle Hands Song has been recorded!
In late April the song was recorded and on May 1st the Young Sudbury Singers gave the premiere public performance of the Icicle Hands Song at their spring concert. Thank you to the choir members and musical director Dr David Buley. 

Next season YSS will perform in concert with the Sudbury Symphony Orchestra. Rehearsals for their new season begin Sept 2010.


Young Sudbury Singers is a group of 50 dedicated young musicians, ages 7-17. The YSS is a non-profit organization. Donations to their work will be acknowledged with a receipt for tax purposes. YSS is a member of ChoirsOntario.

Sudbury Manitoulin Children’s Foundation 4th Annual Charity Chair Auction. Relax this Summer in a beautiful Muskoka Chair and help the “Send-A-Kid-To- Camp” program. The program provides opportunities for disadvantaged children to enjoy pleasurable camping experiences. Beautifully and uniquely decorated muskoka chairs sponsored by local businesses, community leaders and designed by local artists are up for auction. ONLINE AUCTION BIDDING  Wed June 23 to Fri July 9.  Bidding closes at 5:00 p.m July 9th, 2010. Bidder with the highest bid receives the Chair.
